Well they are a breed apart, these network guys....they live in dark comms rooms and only come into the light if their SNMP probe brings them back to the land of the living with an alert. Syslog is their only friend and they think CLI is the future...beware the network guy :sekret: :shock: They think RFC 1149 is a valid concept although RFC 2549 introduced QoS to the solution :)

RFC1149 .... nice one! :) (aka Packet over Pigeon) ... and 2549 is Packet over a Pigeon sat in a 1st class seat of an aircraft, or 2nd class, or the luggage bay - depending on pigeon/packet classification and egress queue scheduling/bandwidth (seat) reservation :)

RFCs 1925, 1438, 2324, 3251 and 2795 are better... :lol:
