Evidently no-one else on the site has your driver skill then. Everyone I know that has rwd cars cannot believe how much grip the quattro has, in fact my mate who is a stonch M3 fan, would not go head to head aginst my wifes 2.5tdi quattro in the wet. His words. But he will not have your skill level I suppose. Come to think of it, are you a farmer as you apparently have one?RussianM3_dude wrote:No of course not. I am just saying that you don't need 4wd unless you are a farmer. Modern electronic control systems are enough. I drove a RWD car here for a while... and... No problem.Tartan_Rob wrote:RM3D - are you honestly saying that given your weather conditions in Switzerland and northern Europe generally, that 2WD has better traction and better all round grip?
If so, perhaps you can comment on why F1 cars (and other top sports cars) have to be paced in heavy rain - even when not racing close together?
It is simple physics, 4wd vs 2wd. twice the contact area and the power to each wheel could be 50% less than the same powered car on 2wd.
Talk sense boy and stop dreaming....
You'll have to agree to differ with the vast majority of people on this site who have in fact been old enough to own cars.
