Hmm, I just looked at the PH thread, thanks for the link, great read. The fact that the CSL gets so close any GT3 strikes me as an exceptional achievement.

Have a read at the PH thread John, there is some expert opinion expressed about both cars.

We really should think about hiring out Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground one Saturday like what the guys over on PH do and put a few of these mis-conceptions to rest once and for all, we certainly have all the necessary equipment between us (and more) to make a good day of it.
Too much is bad.
Plenty is better.

angusdawe on www.bm3w.co.uk has hired Castle Combe circuit for 4/ 5 days in 2005. First day is 18th March - there will be lots of M3s and M3 CSLs there plus other exotic machines. I'm sure GT3, GT3 RS and RS4 cars e.t.c would be welcome - why don't you PM him on bm3w.co.uk and see if there's space.

Agree with Gav...a thrash round an airfield or something would be great fun for getting to know the car at the limits..

Sounds painful....does that involve sitting on a cooker hob covered in sunflower oil ? - If so, what the hell...I'll try anything once...
