B7 RS4: Another one bites the dust
Re: B7 RS4: Another one bites the dust
How much are b8 buckets? Just wondering if more economical to say the b7 seats are obsolete and can be replaced by b8 ones?

Re: B7 RS4: Another one bites the dust
Thanks to all who gave me some good advice. Unfortunately after 4 weeks of trying to negotiate a solution between Admiral and Audi UK, my car sadly is now being written off! Audi wont lower their costs to replace the seats and Admiral woefully undervalued my car.
In essence their threshold to pay for repairs comes up around £6k short of what Audi are charging. Message from the police who have been as helpful as possible is that they may have matched the blood sample on my back seat with a known perpetrator so hopefully an arrest will be made and no-one else will suffer this fate in the SW London area. One more reported just 2 weeks after my own theft.
I hope maybe to buy another RS4 one day, probably Avant this time, but not until Audi UK wise up and offer owners more support and help. The lessons learned are....Never insure with Admiral, get some smart water kit for your seats, change the seat mountings to anti-theft bolts and upgrade the standard Audi alarm which is pretty useless.
My technician at Wimbledon Audi revealed they have had 3 other examples of this crime just this year, before my car was sent there so clearly this is a problem that Audi must work with owners to address!
thanks again for all the support

Also surely a drop of something like evo stik serious stuff liquid metal into a couple of the bolt spline drive recess will stop the opportunist thief

Sorry to hear your bad news mate, how on earth can audi justify charging so much for the seats? If its just to replace the front seats, wheel and passenger window there is now way that cam get into 15k or whatever! Do we know what the official price of the seats is?

The point is they don't make the b7 seat anymore so audi price based on each individual partStevec33 wrote:Sorry to hear your bad news mate, how on earth can audi justify charging so much for the seats?
