Ok, may be talking to myself a little but care. Deal on the exhaust swap for the full milltek system fell through when blokey dropped the exhaust on its backbox while removing it so I did my best to buy a whole new Milltek system but no centre sections coming in for 3 weeks plus. Listened to some of the chaveleys on the Scooby forum saying Hayward & Scott ones were quiet (have used them a few times for custom exhaust work) and it was a natural match for the H&S downpipe on there already.
Got that fitted and joy, barely quieter than the bunged Blitz system. Ah well, will just buy a Milltek one if it gets to be too much or stick in a little bit of soundproofing in the bacofoil boot. Wheels have gone thank god and new ones get here next week, running on the old ones off Fluffy currently. Took off those stupid tow hook things and did some interior work:
Before After The Defi gauges not being the right colour when lit is bugging me a lot but for the price of replacing them, going to do my best to live with them. As of yesterday I was actually at the point of loathing this car and chalking it up to another purchase I shouldn't have made due to my current condition/thought process being a bit messed up but that changed fairly heavily today. Dropped her off at Subaru4You this morning when she will most likely be for the next 3-4 weeks while they go through the fairly monumental list I gave them to make her as she should be.
Madam couldn't get up, we were running late and needed to be there for before 10. Madam was following in the 6, me in crapmobile. Despite the wind and the rain patches, she decided to have a good day and give me a glimpse of how I remembered these being. With 4 mismatched tyres and geometry set up all wrong, I decimated all the A&B roads. She pulled very nicely, stuck to the road like glue unless I forced her out and even then was extremely composed courtesy of the DCCD. The 6 simply didn't stand a chance on anything other than big main roads/motorways as expected. About halfway to Newbury the <beep> paddle clutch had enough heat in to it to actually be fairly stress-free to use. Again, just the sheer grip/how she delivered it was fantastic.
I really am hoping that once the megalist of things are addressed on her that she will be worth keeping, otherwise I will sell her and put the money in to an uprated slushbox for the 6, even madam likes that idea!

My mate's stock PPP was good. Still very, very firm, but good fun. Made all the right noises. Pretty nasty interior though.

Not trying to paint modified ones in any kind of special light and this isn't some sort of replacement for any of the other cars. As with any car, how they are modified is the important bit. With my last one, I modified the RIGHT BITS and as a result ended up with something that handled beautifully, had tons of power, was reliable and wasn't a rattly bucket. Not an ordeal at all really, just getting the car how I want it, which just so happens to be the best setup having owned 3 previously and having half an idea of how they should get from A to B imo

With this one, I bought it not for what it was at the time, but for the potential I could see and for the following core reasons:
£1800 460/400 Turbo
£1800 AP front brake system
6 speed gearbox that was capable of handling lots more power when I decide to go down that route
Coilovers (jury is out a little on those but I have already dialled them in far better, probably getting slightly lower weight springs fitted as well about a 1-1.5" height bump)
Vast majority of suspension mods already fitted to allow maximum tweaking/optimal ride
FMIC already installed
Defi gauge system already installed
DCCD, which I am loving, the 35/65 torque split on auto setting is a hoot and it automatically alters it to 50/50 when booting it from what I understand. The only thing is that pulling out of tight junctions etc can make her grab a wheel or 2 briefly while figuring out what I am doing, especially when normally putting the power down at the same time
Although the previous 26 year old owner went about it all the wrong way with the end result IMO, the building blocks are there for a great car and the drive yesterday reminded me of that. As for a stock PPP, not for me thanks, I would be bored in 2 minutes and screaming at it to go faster.
Not loving the interior either but knew what they were like, the fake carbon stuff he slapped on everything and the fact that he physically cut the handbrake material off in order to slip on a shiny chrome tacky handle gets on my tits but I already have an OE one to fit in. I have sorted out a lot of the rattles but I doubt they will ever all be gone and the newer bucket seats have less adjustment that the older ones and are not very comfortable on yo butt.

To further add to the spam content, I have been seriously contemplating getting rid of the major boot leaking problem by going spoilerless. Ignoring the rest of the bits on the car attached, I am doing my best to track down that bootlid, will just have to get the carbon sprayed black to match the car. While it looks ok on that stupidly low/wide stance car, not 100% sure how it is going to look on one that had been made skinner/taller again on purpose:
Never liked going spoilerless before but again, it could help differentiate this one further from the average blue chavwagon out there and I am not actually sure how much effect the flat top spoiler has on the blobeye.

Balls, it is a Do-Luck bootlid and it appears that they stopped trading a fair while ago. Haven't found anything on the market that tickles my giblets like that did, hmm. Might look in to if anyone can make a one off but it would cost stupid money I reckon and wouldn't be worth it. I have a nasty feeling that my wallet is going to be beyond battered once she is finished, sent the mother of all worksheets to the tuners last night after dropping her off on Saturday.

£900 delivered via Sumo Power. Hmmmm quite a gamble, will take a total bath on that if I don't like it or it doesn't quite fit due to me suspecting that the car got hit up the backside and was repaired as it isn't like an alloy bootlid that you can bend to fit any mild misalignment.
