I was in Morrison's earlier to do my shopping and the cashier asked this foreign couple in front of me if they wanted help packing their bags. I thought <beep>, this is happening quicker than I expected!

The Referendum :

it happened
everyone had the chance to vote
it was democratic
live with it

That's actually quite a good metaphor for the referendum...
The referendum might as well have been 3 weeks ago given this current political sea-change, in which case, the weather would've been a whole lot worse so the poll would have been an even more unanimous decision.
While on the subject, blame this year's <beep> summer on the result, if summer had've kicked off when it should've, I guarantee I'd have been on the losing side.
No matter where you go, there you are.

Great. So now all the xenophobic and race hate incidents that have suddenly blossomed here are making the news in France and Germany (and no doubt elsewhere). What a Pandora's box.

Fortunately we've still got the Americans to make us look a bit less bad by comparison.

You wait
We have had a good year mocking the US for their total stupidity regarding Trump. He has been a huge source of amusement to us all....
And the this referendum result has hit us like an earthquake
The US will then vote Clinton and get on with life
And we will look very silly, and very isolated indeed....

Yeah, the seeds were there, the toxic referendum bullshit nourished them and now they are in my face.
