What about a Skyline, don't know how much they are but they're old and Japanese so they can't be too expensive. There's always talk of large horsepower with these.

S4woody ... I am surprised ..nay amazed.

TVR 4.5 Cerbera weighs about 1100kg (I think) has about 420 bhp and hits 60 in less than 4 secs.... Fat bob BMW is 1720kg and has 400 bhp (I am guessing I ought to consult the etherweb), so 60 is 5-5.5 sec territory.

4.5 Cerbera does 100 in 8.7 secs...

I think its nose is up because they have removed the engine.. <beep> reliability in the TVR. My mate had one everyhting fecked up on it... It was quick when it didn't break though.

The TVR's nose is up as he's braking hard, having just wiped the floor with the M5 in a "who can reverse quickest" contest...

I've heard of Skylines running over 800bhp with whopping torque figures too... and some Toyota Supras too.... Gawd knows how they drive, but I'm sure reliability goes the way of TVR when you are at Gearbox and diff breaking torque levels

"who can reverse quickest" contest...
its all down to the driver i reckon..i was off like a shot..and once he'd put his pipe down and changed out of his slippers he decided to select gear and give it a go...

Me too i didn't like M3 and M5's before and then......somebody took me for a drive in one of them and it was great !! Lovely cars well made (better than audi's yep),they are rock solid, i think they sound really good. Ok they are not mega quick especially on straight line but on a track or cross country they are fantastic !! Plenty for sale on second hand, you can get a lot for your money.

Hi Si :bigwave:

In the words of Max Boyce, "I was there", and I remember the Cerb's as being quick little feckers, once they got some grip off the line, unless it was being driven by a girl, which was the case with the one that I beat.

Not too many Cerbs below you and me (deerhunter) here:

Any other suggestions? Perhaps something a bit different.. I'm toying with the idea of waiting a few months and going for a TVR T350C. Bound to break though.
Agreed on both counts!

My last car was E46 M3 I fitted an ACS rear box, (which I still have in the garage and must get around to selling) it made quite a bit of difference to the sound, oem was very tinny and raspy, the raspy did not go away completely but it deepen the noise and the car was much louder! it has TUV approval in GMBH and as a result is classed as an optional extra as can be fitted by UK dealers, no insurance worries...

These are they....
