I still have the standard stock exhaust and cats and could probably get the tuner to put it back to the original mapping, but what do you say? They would probably say that on there test bed it produced the 414bhp! The tuner said that all the ones he had done where different!
Should i have the car serviced to see if audi identify something wrong with it?
Is the tuners rolling road wrong?(i very much doubt it)

I would revert the car, book it in with them and arrange a loan car. Take it to them and leave it with them, refuse to collect it until you are happy. Sale of goods act etc...? Vehicle not being fit for purpose....if it had 350 or 400bhp and advertised as such would you still have bought it>>? I for one, would not entertain one with that kind of std power.

That is not right, I had mine on the rollers and it produced 398 when it has 2k on the clock this went up to 409 ish when it has 7k and now it's remapped it has 438.

365 bhp is way, way, short of the mark, and, as the others have said, would you have bought it if Audi had stated it had that sort of power - NO is the guessing!

Regarding the CSL vid, I have had a comparison with a local one a few times and there is not much between the two up to 80-90, then mine pulls away from it, secondly I drove another one a few months ago and felt it was quite sluggish.. The RS4 in the vid looks like he is in one gear higher than the csl, hence the immediate change of the CSL.

Not taking it away from the CSL because it's a cracking car and I so, so nearly bought one!!

This is no surprise, see my thread about the Cab I had and how slow it was. the RS 4 is not that quick a car imo.

My saloon is back on the road and it seems quicker than the Cab I had for a couple of months but no where near as quick as the M6 I had.

The M6 has nie on 500bhp though so it wouldn't.

AKA john1975

The car has done 11k so its not as if it brand new, i havent been driving it like a pussy either!
It has done 1 track day so far and it will be doing more in the future! After the track day i did have the clutch changed but not the fly wheel, could this have something to do with it?

You are right djcevo i would have questioned whether it was worth paying so much for a car with that power!!
Audi would probably come up with some kind of bull if i took the car back!

Contigo the car doesnt appear to be that slow when coming up against other cars i soon fly past hot hatches etc like you couldnt do in the borrowed cab. Even on the track it held its own against faster cars.

No @#$% sherlock. Still doesn't matter, the difference between the extra 80bhp is HHHUUUUUGGGEEE in terms of how quick it feels.

I love my RS 4 but can't help but think that it's not biblically quck like alot of other motors out there. The Cab I had was given good runs from run of the mill hot hatches which left me feeling pretty deflated.

Now I have the saloon back, it feels quicker and I'm much happier but it's still not going to shake of the likes of a CSL or SL55 AMG.

Have it reverted back to standard, get it on ANOTHER dyno, have it tested. If it is still appears to be under power then make up a story of having compared it to a mates RS4 and yours was quite a bit slower and so had the power tested on two separate rollers, present the print outs and ask them to sort it.

You've got the wrong car.
RS6 stage 2 mate. The only way forward, leaves CSL's and SL55's for dead.

Theres no replacement for blown displacement ;)

what is RS6 stage2? What is required in order to take an RS^ there and what does that do to performance/figures?

Remap and cat-back.
Around 1600 quid for circa 510bhp and 480lb/ft :D

then after that it gets expensive for not much more gain.

I very much doubt that an RS6 with 13 bhp more than an SL 55 would leave it for dead!!!! I admit that the SL is slightly heaver but this would conteract the lack of 4 wheel drive transmission loss.

Dont think there would be anything in it personally. Apart from traction off the line....[/quote]

OK, so I exagerrated slightly...
But it would certainly do a better job of it than a B7 RS4 ;)
