MG TF is a good bet i just purchased one for my other half and she loves it, she had a V6 4Motion Golf beforehand but prefers the MG purely for the roofdown aspect and its a proper little girlie sportscar, i paid a fair bit more because its fairly new but she could easily pick one up slightly older with a few more miles for that kind of money.

Good shout Scotty - and the MGs are good value now that the collapse of Rover has unrealistically forced MG prices down.

Thats right Clive, people seemed to have steered clear from them because of the collapse which drove the price down but as for servicing, parts etc they still operate at a good level. I purchased my other half's from a franchised dealer who also sells Nobles and TVR'S and it operated like any other Stealer, i paid slightly over the top on autotrader prices for the MG and got a crap part ex on the Golf but i did get the full works that night. Also i believe that Rover are again going into production next year so for a good buy get looking in the locals and pick up a steal.

Well if my missus is anything to go by she will love it and a good convincing argument is petrol cost, the MG doesnt seem to use any, at all.
The only downside to it is the build quality is not gonna be anywhere near the Merc but it is one of the only cars that is truly a Girls car.Be sure to look at all the different specs because they vary quite a bit and the most important thing is the head gasket, they do get hot and because most are owned by ladies checking the water is something thats not as important as checking there hair.
