Filled up at 95.9p last night, after everyone was raving about it at the Northern Meet.

Hope she will run a bit more timing advance once the ECU has learnt that the tank has higher octane fuel...watch this space...

Octane booster is the answer

I've just filled up with V-Power and the old motor seems very happy.

Yes Graham - group 3 on engine measuring blocks - we did that on your car on Saturday.

In fact, that reminds me, I need to send you the scan data and logs - on its way now...

Intereting!

So you caputured that info from mine on Sat?

I was just thinking it would be nice to compare V-Power to Tesco 99. Different cars, and I expect one tankful can differ from the other even from the same station, but interesting as an indication.

I take it you have no Tesco 99 goodness local to you Clive? Comparing the two fuels effects in the same car would be good.

Yes, but not a lot - mpg has improved slightly, and FATs time is marginally better - I'll post some proper data soon...

Oh, and last time I filled up (Weds) it was only 91.9p!

Petrol is cheaper at the moment because 'the American driving season' has finished it creates competition in the different fuel companies to maintain a good turnover with the smaller countries ie;us. The big stores start it off with fuel price decrease and the big fuel companies follow.
