Optimax supply problems?

...nowhere in the reading area seems to have optimax (or super of any description).

After problems on 23 December, when I tried the six nearest Shell stations, I have had no problems getting Optimax at Shinfield Road Shell. After being told on 23/12 that they had no idea when the next Optimax delivery would arrive, I discovered that they had nothing but Optimax on 24/12 - no ordinary U/L and no diesel.

I have filled up since then without problems - but their tanks are still low. Usually they have some pumps with only ordinary U/L, and others with only Optimax.

Well since finding it hard to get Optimax, I have gone with BP Ultimate... Don't fancy stale fuel in my baby.

BTW, has anyone found that their fuel consumption ahs reduced somewhat running the 99 RON Tesco stuff over optimax?

Nope. I find I use more

Sorry, that's what I meant I've found my average MPG on the trip computer has gone from late 22's to mid 21's or lower.

Run my car on tesco's 99 ron fuel. find it better than Optimax.
