Easy to afford really! When short of cash just stick an orange 'taxi' sign on the top and do a bit of fly pitchin.

Too much is bad.
Plenty is better.

Re: Porsche Cayenne
No matter what badge its got on it, what colour, what specs, what performance etc its still one ugly mother!

Re: Porsche Cayenne
FWIW I am a big fan of the Cayenne. Used to hate the looks, but they have really grown on me, and yes I chose the wrong words above when I said it wasnt a "proper" off roader. really just trying to make the point that its low C of G surprised me when I saw it at close quarters.
Like for eg the M Coupe, opinions on the looks are deeply polarised. No one seems to just "quite like it I suppose". Love or hate it, the beast it has presence.
Simply couldnt justify fuelling it and the RS though. Quite what the Turbo would average with my erratic driving style is anyones guess, but I suspect not much better than 10mpg And since I primarily bought the RR for the missus , I "persuaded" her into the Diesel, ho hum! Riz and Tim-
I think that the looks of all of these type of vehicle are subjective, I certainly can't think of one that I'd call "nice looking", I suppose (to me) the X5 is about the best but I certainly wouldn't call it "a stunning looking vehicle"
As for the <ahem> "economy" on the Turbo, you would not drive it slowly, believe me, it goes like a bat out of hell and is immensely enjoyable to drive that way

Re: Porsche Cayenne
One of my neighbours works for Porche UK. Just recently rather than having an "oh - look, there's yet another Boxter - yawn" outside his house, he's had Cayennes, both an S and a Turbo (not at the same time). There are also examples of almost every other similar off-roader in my immediate area too.
Although I'm not into off-roaders (if I wanted something big then I'd have something like a Mitsubishi Warrior), I must say that I like the Cayenne the best. I like it's looks (rather unique), and it sounds like it handles and performs like a sports car.

Re: Porsche Cayenne
In an EVO magazine test the Cayenne beat the M3 round the track!
I think it looks alright, as Dippy says quite unique, and at least it isnt as fecked up as any of Chris Bangles latest cars (except the Z4)
Assume it was the Turbo but not sure
