Great stuff. A good friend of mine used to race an Elan sprint and an ultimate spec 7 has recently had his S1 Elise converted with the Honda Vtec screamer, its bonkers! Think it was about 13k for the full job!

Ahh Elam sprint - swmbo is on the lookout for one of them.
Everybody raved about the Elise with 120bhp at 700kgs... Well the élan was that in the 60's. damn fine cars.
Never had any issues with any of mine - none that I couldn't fix myself anyway.
I was tempted with the Honda but never got round to it. The audi's are more powerful but I prefer revs to torque.

I can't stop taking mine apart - had the centre tunnel out, the seats are coming out next weekend, stereo out, grill off - thinking of getting carbon bits on the front clam....brilliant!

After stating that I won't be going up North to pick the Lotus up I am now, their low loader is buggered and wouldn't get the car for over a week unless I go and pick it up, they have offered to drive it to me but not keen on the idea as I wanted to see a clean car.

Shame but all part of the collection process!
When they did my upgrade I was due to fly up and collect it - that was when the ash cloud descended !
