Ok, subject to being well enough, looks like I am going to see that "Blobeye" JDM STI on Saturday:

Image

Those wheels must die, as must that Fog light, I will do my usual relay mod to merge it in to the high level brake light, assuming that it is sub-1m from the ground. Going to have to swap out the decatted Nur Spec R setup too as been there, done that setup and as well as being banned from pretty well all tracks, I am too old for that level of exhaust noise. Equal length headers will have to die too, no way am I not having the Scooby burble..
Current:

23' C8 RS6 Vorsprung - 23' RS E-Tron GT Carbon Vorsprung

Gone:

"Brutus"- C5 RS6 Avant - MRC stage 2 - Milltek non-res + 100 cell cats - Wagner ICs - PSS9 - H&R ARBs - OZ Superturismo LM - C6 Custom brakes - HD RNS-E - Various other bits - 555PS/832Nm
"Taz"- C7 RS6 - MRC stage 2 745PS/1095Nm

Agree 100% about the sticking out rim edge which is a shame as I think the style of wheel and the gold look fantastic against the black. That's probably one of the smartest looking blobeye's I've seen tbh.
Current car: 2007 BMW 530d touring.

See, that's how I thought the brake groves should go, long leading edge into pad first. DavePerc seems to think the reverse should be applied. Confused.

Well, after a long-ass day yesterday, including detailer friend being awesome and popping over to clean the 6 because he wanted to, I went over with best friend to tow back what was left of her. I was sure I had the keys with me at 7pm but realised that I had the keys for all the other cars but that one halfway there.....

Friend was annoyed and wanted to turn around to get them but I said no, confident I can break in to her. Got there, explained to the various truck drivers there that I wasn't in fact a thieving scally and proceeded to break in, even telling them where the garage left the keys in the car as proof she was mine. Managed to pull the glass out enough on one of the frameless rear doors for me to wedge a gibbon arm in to get the handle and hey presto, unlocked. Popped the boot to get the keys I had been told were in the there, to find nothing.

After pulling the car apart I eventually found them wedged between the centre console and the firewall trim...... Best friend drove like a flaming woman all the way back, doing 10-20mph below the speed limit throughout, man that was hard work, got back at about 10pm...... Had worn out the new battery doing the two trips with various light on but even with no volts whatsoever the old lump fired up so that I could plop her back on the drive for the last time. Component stripping wil start at some point when I can bring myself to start all that guff. Seeing the other one tomorrow morning.

Job done.

Quite a handful. The handling and grip are outstanding as expected, the adjustable diff that can run either on auto or manual is good fun, the clutch is pretty bloody awful and the power delivery is pretty bloody awful. Big turbo, fmic with lots of pipework and not nearly enough torque ideally means that if I am not in the power band I am pretty farked.

The 6 will show this a clean pair of heels every single time off the lights and on the private runway runs such as between where we picked up the car from and home as madam told me. However, this car is sooooo good on the tight/high speed country road stuff, easily better than my old Evo VII and that is something.

Bam, the exhaust. Despite having a similar Nur Spec R setup before that was mega loud, this one is around 30% louder again and even with your exhausts running in noisy mode, I genuinely think that this is louder, just don't ask me why. We put the 6 on the driveway along with this and played the blip the torrtle game, the 6 wasn't anywhere near half as loud af this nuttermobile. After 2 hours driving the car I had a headache and ringing in my ears that only recently subsided, sod all sound deadening in the car. This setup will be gone sharpish.

The wheels are going as I said, have people swarming all over those already. Suspension is way too low, clipped speed humps beautifully today. Massively adjustable but I think I am going to revert to near standard with lowered springs. Stupid towbar loops are going, steering wheel is going, gearknob and handbrake are going, going to reforge the internals, get the antilag and launch control disabled and hide the buttons then get the map adjusted for more torque hopefully without reducing the overall power.

Last thing to add, I was in the kitchen when I heard a car come to a halt, then reverse back at speed. Went to have a look and got to see 2 chavs sitting in the middle of the road with their cameraphones out taking picture or video for about 45 seconds before driving off. Hmm, please don't say I am going to be a chav magnet again, I was hoping those days with the scooby has passed...

Right, wheels already sold 3 times over without actually advertising them or mentioning a price, exhaust attracting chavs with money too. Going to take a drive through Farnham town centre on the way out, should be hilarious....

Just come back from two trips out in it today and another headache at the end, might as well be running no sodding exhaust at all. Can't wait to get shot of it. Hit the antilag by accident three times too, wasn't sure if I should have been annoyed with myself or laughing at thsle noise and roosters that were probably coming out of the back.

Oh god don't say that, I got out Imprezas when all of that was going on and had hoped that had passed.

Housemate told me that we had a congregation of chavs outide the house last night after midnight...

The collective noun for chav is an "Easyjet".

Mr. 12" had an Easyjet of chav's outside his house last night, they were spunking over his blobeye
