Dyno Run figures RFI

Post by stevo55 » Thu May 12, 2022 6:53 pm

Apologies if this isn’t an Audi since I’ve strayed to the Dark Side-lots of reports that AMG’s run higher numbers stock than advertised.
So I take my E63S to Dyno Developments for some power runs. They explained at length the difference between WHP and BHP which I get and also that AWD cars can lose between 20-30% power from advertised flywheel HP figures.
Anyhow I have the printouts and I’m having issues trying to nail down just what the output really is? Car is stock and Mercedes advertised power figures are 604 bhp and 627 lb ft torque.
They said they were impressed with the figures but I’m throwing it out there to see what anyone else can figure out? Torque seems to be way more but trying to figure out how much higher the BHP is.
Final numbers in the right hand chart were the most they saw in the 3 runs.
Using an online calculator it puts the final run of 569.34 at 689 bhp at the flywheel. I’d be impressed if it was that and may explain a few things.
Anyone? I’m probably being thick again but just throwing it out to the floor!

They should tell you what % correction factor they are using. It can be different for different types of drivetrain and gearboxes - autoboxes and 4wd will give the most transmission losses but this should taken into account by the correction factor. The 569hp figure at the flywheel would give a correction factor of around 10% if the 619hp printout is at the wheels?

Thanks and will go back to DD as clearly I wasn’t paying enough attention.
Onto ‘how fast is it?’ Well someone with one just posted their figures online using the onboard Race Feature (mine shows zero history from previous owner so not launched yet) and yes….they are this quick!
