X5

Post by jonno1 » Fri Oct 07, 2005 4:40 pm

I know I may be burned at the stake for asking but does anyone have any experience (good or bad) with the BMW X5 (the 4.4i version particularly). I am considering getting one but would like to know the pitfalls (other than having people do w#nker gestures at me etc etc etc).

Thanks
JonS

Bit on the firm side, suspension that is. Compared with other similar 4X4 trucks.

Had a 4.6iS which i sold to buy the RS4 - needed more carrying space! Boot is pathetic for something so big. Seats not as comfortable as some other BMW's i've had. Believe they are aimed at the larger girthed owners.

I had a few electrical gremlins with SatNav and they all eat batteries for a pass time. BMW assist sorted that for free.

Nice car but boring to drive and, yes, everyone hates you in it.
