Can someone point a newbie in right direction

Post by rmstu » Fri Apr 21, 2017 12:43 pm

Hi all,
Just sold my 2016 A45 and looking for a audi,
I've got a local rs4 to me at £30500 30k on 2012.
Most people are warning me of rs4 to reliability drc etc 🤔 my next option is a audi s4 on 2014 around £25000-27000 am I bonkers to consider a s4 over a rs4 in terms of reliabilty.
Is there much difference in running costs apart from tax.
Obviously I'd imagine the rs4 would hold its money better. Sorry about the sporadic questions just at a loose end last option is a audi s3 or older rs5. Any input would be greatly appreciated on my best choice thanks all.

I'd personally go for the RS4. It's so much more of a car. If you go for the S you'll always wish you'd gone for the top of the range model.

You're a long time dead...
Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)
///M3 E46 | XC90 (V8, natch) | Passat GTE | RR Classic V8 flapper
"The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at and repair."
