It's all part of a scene/culture in Japan which has spread to the us and also here in the Middle East. Everything these days runs on air-were the middle eastern distributor for Airrex which is used by Stance nation, liberty walk, rocket bunny etc etc

I guess if your not into it then you wouldn't get it.

But look at Jules avant and others and this is where it has come from; the JDM scene.

@pule33 our next Shop build will be a Audi Q7 bagged, rimmed & kitted from Garage ILL. Should be an interesting build...

As we all know in the far East they rip things off. My mate used to make Ferrari Testarossa's with an RX7's underneath. Here's the real thing, you decide:

RS4 B7, Mugello Blue, K&W V3 & HR ARBs, set up by Centre Gravity, Milltek Valved Non Res & cat bypass pipes, BMC air filter, braided hoses, DOT 5.1, Terraclean, MRC Full Carbon Clean, MRC remap 448PS 477NM, 20" S7 alloys with 4mm spacers & Hawke spigots 66.6 > 57.1, AP Racing front discs. Sold Sept 2019. Now rocking an F80 M3

Hey now, my mistake. You are correct it's a 348. The side slats threw me off balance :drink:

I understand everything and love a slammed look as much as a next guy does but the extreme camber, don't really understand what's the point? It doesn't look cool, it's not drivable just looks broken. I don't mind slight camber like BTCC cars for example. But this.... Jules Avant is awesome!

You think so ?
Not so sure, I did the first aird rs4 in the world about 6 years ago.
It was designed and built by bagyard who are now quite big in the air world and renamed hpdrivetech.

I would call that a subsection of JDM culture, which is based around making a road car look like a race car.

This 348 takes it to an almost comical effect with the camber, and i've seen other cars with wheels at near 45 degree angle. It is called 'Oni-kyan' which translates to demon camber.

It's also based around static, rather than air ride. I imagine air ride has become popular for obvious reasons - you can be even more extreme for shows, without the downsides.

In Japan it goes beyond car clubs; they form 'teams' and it gets extreme because they want to stand out for something. The 348 suddenly does that!
