STOLEN RS4 Y989WBT
Hi guys
My friend bought a blue RS4 Avant 8 days ago, which he absoloutley adores.
Last night it was stolen from outside his house in Twickenham, West London.
Please be on the look out for a dark blue RS4, it's a Y-reg

If you see it please let me and the police know.

Sorry to hear about that mate, mind its very unusual to have the car stolen without the keys, ususally they break in ands threaten you with a baseball bat for them before making of with the car.... Makes me think whoever took it had a set and was just waiting for the right time to take it.
Was he given the plastic emergency key when he bought the car?
Hope it comes back soon
P.S if you haven't done it alreday then I would send JohnW the info you have on the car so he can put it in the rs4 register and have it logged

Too much is bad.
Plenty is better.

Second time I've heard this very bad news today. It seems your mate knows a girl I work with. I suggested she told him about RS246 but it looks like you beat me to it.
Is he really surprised that the RS4 is more stealable than a Boxster?
Anyway, I'll keep my eyes open as I live in West London, although I'm sorry to say I wouldn't be surprised if it was on the other side of Europe by now.

It can be stolen without keys, the keys were copied!
And no tracker doesnt help either.
Definately something to do with history on that car its not rite.
It wont be on the road with the same plates anyway so unless one crops up in my neck of the woods i will investigate it...
Theres too much going on nowadays service centres selling copied keys to people that eventually the get lifted fron your front door.
It happened to me!

With the various inconsistencies over colour of cars on log books, I don'tthink 'black' vs 'dark blue' is too big a deal.
I don't have the register to hand at the mo, but that reg seems familiar. I'm sure I have it logged from when it was for sale.
It seems we've had 3 or 4 cars stolen in the last month, and 2 of them in Surrey. Also, one car recently advertised has been apparently 'ringed'.
It is for exactly this reason the register can help if it contains chassis numbers.
I hope your friend gets his car back, but something tells me these are professionals so he most likely wont.
If you can get all the details from your mate that are requested in the 'register' post, please forward them on to me. I keep an eye on the adverts so if something similar comes up I'll mail/call him.
Cheers,
John.
