Anyone else here at Le Mans?

Post by Lady Penelope » Fri Jun 12, 2015 9:49 am

Brought my new stead for a run down to Le Mans. Looking very like Porsche's turn this year :audibash: .... Mark Weber on form and Audi can afford to bask a little having won 13 times in 15 outings... Very RS6 heavy here but few RS4s...

Post if you're here and we can get all RS gooey maybe?!

I'm here (Le Mans) in the B7 'loon staying at the Expo campsite.

As much as it pains me to say it, it looks like a Porsche win if qualifying is anything to go by.
CURRENT: Montecarlo Blue Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifolglio, 2.9ltr bi-turbo, 510bhp
PREVIOUS: Volvo V60 Polestar, build number 149/700 worldwide - 3ltr straight 6 turbo. 350bhp remapped to 400bhp. Only one of 120 in the UK
PREVIOUS: Misano red B7 saloon, stage 2 map to 425bhp, manifold flap delete, KW V3 coilovers.

Well, I enjoyed Le Mans and actually the banter on the ferry over and return. The sight of 3 Porsche 918 Spiders (all UK registered) heading up the autoroute was pretty impressive. The Mclarens too although I hear one new owner totalled his on the way to the race...ouch!

The Pistonheads crew were well in evidence and on good form. A few drinks in the Pie and Piston were head, champers of course although I sneaked that in from the Bolly place opposite :drink: .

All in all a great weekend and if you've never been before go, absolutely go and experience this event.

Got back last night, had a superb time despite the weather and missing out on our usual campsite that I've been in the last three years in a row (managed to sneak in and say hi to some of the Brits I've met in there over previous years)

How did the drive in your new B7 go?
