B8 RS4 for me...juuust over a my past B7

RS3 i owned was a close 3rd, but don't be fooled by haldex as imho it aint no 4wd sadly and if the RS3 was fitted with permanent 4wd it would be a proper hoon on track!

After a blast in a C7 RS6 i could be swayed - but they're just a bit too big fat & heavy for me..

APR supercharged V8 R8 was epic but need to try an R8 GT as think that could be the daddy

I think for the UK the B7 RS4 can't be beat. I love my C5 to bits but it needs the autobahn to stretch it's legs!

Looks wise, B5 RS4 or C5 RS6 :D

You're all wrong. RS2.

It's the embodiment:
5Pot.
Turbo.
Quattro.
Porsche.
'nuff said.

I'd take a mint RS2 over anything else mentioned in this thread.

B7 RS4.

Had the C5 RS6 (highly modified) & that was a giggle but handled like a boat.

Driven several C6 RS6's & whilst fast in a straight line, they appear to handle the same as the C5 but defo quicker stock. C7 RS6 is fun & sounds great but it's again just too fat but other than the B7 RS4 i'd say 2nd is defo the C7 RS6.

Very much a fan of the new RS 6 Avant. However the B5 RS4 always catches my eye.

Point taken but it's not the point. I hear throttle response is very binary and it has an aga slung out over the front axle BUT it would be the cornerstone of any proper RS collection.
None of the other RSes mentioned moved the game on or created a template like the RS2 did, IMHO.

Don't get me wrong.

I totally love the concept of the RS 2, and would defo be the first in the collection

I myself have not driven one, it might be amazing it might not?

I guess there are two trains of thought in terms of best RS

What drives the best
What is the 'best' *

* best being a number of factors such as looks, sound, coolness, rarity etc etc

B7 might win the former
RS 2 prob the latter

I like to look at how compelling it was upon launch. RS2 obliterated its competition, the B7 merely decimated. I agree on the driver element but then I preferred the RS5 over the B7, mostly due to the pedal box. I figure if I was to be pissed off with that element then might as well have S-Tronic innit.
