Always leave my keys in a nice obvious place these days.

Used to sleep with a baseball bat but it’s not worth the agro... they’re only cars at the end of the day and one way or another, the scrotes WILL get your vehicle.

Same reason I wont bother with trackers.... I don’t want the cars back after the scumbags have been in them.
VW Toe-rag V6 R-line.... no curry hooks...wtf ?
Gone: Avus Avant B7 RS4.... plus curry hooks !

So today I'll mostly be finding and chopping off bcm2 connector and fitting a retro crook lock! Old school security...

Anyone know of any security features that go into the seat and contain large vertical spikes that can be propelled upwards in case of theft? Maybe just for the passenger seat so the driver can still make it to hospital... :)

What! Think of the damage to the paint work! I can simply retract my spikes and reuse them! :)

Yeah I'm sure you wouldn't even have to clean the seat, much...

Gutted.

No tracker, they can keep the car after they have fubar'd it

Safe. That's for cash, passports etc ...and tell no one you have one, the worst could happen as they could try and endanger the familiar trying to find they keys etc

Nevertheless, sad we can't all be safe in our own homes with our hard earned possessions :piss:
BMW M2 Comp
RS4 Supercharged
Current Abarth 500c Two tone Grey and Mint - a modified go-cart.
Current T5 180 bi-turbo - modified, Reimo pop top, ABT kit, Caravelle 7 seats, going on 'air' this summer
Gone RS4 B7 Avant MRC, MK5 R32, 205 GTI, Mk1 golfs... plus some other poor souls

I know it's not the aim of your post, but had you considered what would happen if your keys were locked away in a safe and when the fu@kers broke in, your wife and you were in bed ? Not worth thinking of and it's a only car that's insured ?

I leave my keys somewhere that's not visible through a window, but if someone's going to want them enough to break in, they're going to find them before they endanger my kids

Same goes for a tracker. A) they're largely useless and most decent car thieves will know how to disable them straight away, and b) would you want your RS car back after some cutn's ragged it around for 24hrs ? I know I wouldn't

Sorry to be appear all doom and gloom, but what we all have are generally insured and it's always food for thought
I agree much better they get the keys and leave save destroying the house searching. Same view on Tracker would you want your pride and joy back after some <beep> bag has ragged it. I think not
