BMW M5 v AUDI S4 !!!!!

Don't shout at me now, but recently went out in an S4 which had been REVO'D to 320 bhp and was very impressed with it.....

Am in the market to change my motor and the S4 is up there in my choice list at the mo. but one car that keeps coming to mind is the M5 (e39
) which is started to drop into a price range that i'm comfortable with.

I'm not gonna claim to be the best of drivers so the more the car helps me out then the better.......Hence S4 choice....

Haven't yet been out in the M5 but any help from you guys would be appreciated in making my choice in terms of drivability....i realise the stats on the cars speak for themselves and the M5 seems pretty amazing.....so help!!!!!

Its a tough one,
It was one of the cars i was looking at also, its was too big for me in terms of physical size and engine size.
i can only just afford to keep the S4 running with my foot, I would be filling up the M5 every other day.
if you get the chance to see guy ritchies short movie for the M5 it will make your decision even harder.
