That's crazy! Imagine it? I remember when I passed my test in 2003, the cost of fuel has just about doubled. I remember the days I'd pay 73.9p per litre.

When I passed my test it was 39.5!

i remember 1988, 16 years old, had a dt50 moped thing, and less than a pound to fill the tank! year later with the mg metro, it cost under £20!

I learnt to drive in an MG Metro. It was very old at the time though, that was 1999
