looking a buying one of these, does anyone know any bad points....! just to have some background knowledge!

A 57 plate Cab 3.0 HAD be a diesel by default as the 3.0 petrol was phased out with the cab facelift (Dec 2005 Jan 2006) and replaced by the 3.2 FSI

Always thought the 3.0 quattro was okay - remember reading an evo group test of 3.0 X Type, BMW, Merc and Audi saloons back in around 2001 and they loved it - but I agree that after the 3.0 TDi arrived - especially in later 233 guise - the 3.0 / 3.2 no longer made sense.
