Vehicle Delivery?

Post by bobjebb » Sun Jun 17, 2012 12:13 pm

Hi all

Bit of a quandary - I'm selling a mini cooper s and have had a strong offer from a dealer buying on behalf of a customer. BUT he's at the opposite end of the country and can not collect. he's given me details of people who collect/deliver for him, but I obviously don't know them from Adam. The next nearest quote is a lot less, but a lot more convenient.

I know that vehicle appraisal/collection companies exist - anyone had any experience in them and how they work? I'd want the transaction to be simple and straightforward (and kosher!). Otherwise I'd find a local mate to drive it up for me but getting back will be an absolute pain (From Hull to Wiltshire!) and an expensive train trip.

Any advice most welcome.
