Swedish Ice Driver Training Options

Post by kiwi_mtm » Sun Jul 24, 2011 12:54 am

I'm planning a trip to Sweden next year around xmas (all the way from New Zealand) and want to do some ice driver training while i'm there.

So far ive seen:
1. Porsche Camp4. Looks very professional, but also expensive.
See: http://www.porsche.com/uk/motorsportand ... nfinnland/
2. Mercedes AMG driver training. Looks better value than the Porsche.
see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMi-ibMGaPc
3. BMW Driver training. Looks better value than the Porsche.
4. http://www.icedriving.net. This is looking like a good value offering.

I clearly need a car to be provided, and dont want to get stuck with big repair bills, so i'm looking for a company that offers full insurance.
Secondly, I've done a fair bit of motorsport, so dont fancy being taught how to sux eggs by being forced into a basic and boring precursa courses, pior to then being elgible for the fun/advanced course. This seems to be the case with Porsche. I'm looking for a 'drifting' course, rartther than a 101 how to drive safly on ice course.

Anyone have any recomendations or experiences here ?
Option 4 or 3 looks interesting so far.
