Lucky Escape ...

Post by HYFR » Thu Jun 09, 2011 2:08 pm

just got pulled on the M11 by marked police cops

I was doing well in excess of the speed limit

Got away with a verbal warning, and some advice to chop the S4 in for a Fiesta :-)

time to spend some time beating my 40.9MPG achievement in the S4

:drink:

Nope. Was late on a Monday or Tuesday night, south of Coalville and Loughborough but before Leicester forest where it opens out to four lanes and I always knock the cruise down for the junctions and services etc. I seem to recall the traffic was so light I'd gone about five miles from the Coalville junction and only had to 'resume' the cruise once (to slow for a car in front). Nevermind. Tend to stick the cruise on at an indicated 80 nowdays, as Dave notes the fuel economy rockets up.
