Quattro derivatives
Quattro derivatives
It's not really RS246 subject matter, but does anyone understand the difference between the old quattro engines? I've seen WR, UR and RR cars for sale, but haven't a clue as to which is most suitable.
Re: Quattro derivatives
depends on what sort of engine you want in it for a start.
10V or 20V is first question
10V or 20V is first question
Bullshit baffles brains

Re: Quattro derivatives
ur is the original name for the quattro(ur-quattro)wr and rr are referring to the engine codes for the models.anyway,i better stop thinkin otherwise.............
Re: Quattro derivatives
WR = 10 valve, solid valve lifters, some would say easier to tune 50/50 torque split, lockable center and rear diff.
MB = 10 valve hydraulic lifters, water cooled turbo, anti stall device, torque sensing diff 70/30 30/70 split lockable rear up to 15mph etc not as easy to raise boost! K jetronic fuel injection.
RR = last of the line 20v motor motronic management etc.
And i love them all!
