Annoying car things

Post by DavidT » Wed Feb 04, 2004 7:24 pm

My better half cannot understand why the way other people treat their cars annoys me, so I thought I'd see if its just me.

Latest one was a woman with a people carrier with a couple of inches of snow on it. She unlocked it, started it up then got out and cleared the rear and side windows, then got in and switched the wipers on to clear the windscreen. They struggled and left piles of snow at the edge of the screen. She drove off.

I have more of these too

Is it just me ?

I'm with you mate but there is not enough space on the server for all my whinges.

What about people who cannot spell and use "textwrite"

No use of grammer, no use of indicators, etc.

Shut up now, while the going is good

Calm down mate.

How about people who park by driving their cars into the kerb and then steering out a little with the sound of scraping wheels and tyres

Or the ones who park by driving fast onto the kerb and off again, especially when your are walking past.

Ooh...don't get me started...my girlfriend put brake fluid in the washer reservoir! - I don't think she's cleaned the car since I bought it her 3 years ago...I'll make her buy her own next time!

small (mostly oriental) women in the big Mercs who clearly cannot drive.
If you want a demonstration of this, just go to New Malden high street and watch the women in their mercs try and navigate their way thru a small high street. Guaranteed drama.

Women who go around roundabouts and cut into your lane. They are like horses with blinkers on, they seem only to be able to see straight ahead and are completely oblivious to anything happening on the side of them.

Sorry, rant over

People in big cars with small engines who reckon they're the tits. The classics are the 728 and the S280. So painfully slow I can outrun them in my nackered old Bimmer, but they always have them debadged, the sports pack fitted, all that cobblers, and tell their mates it's a 500 etc. Fair play to anyone with one of these cars, I see the whole issue of "it's cheaper to run than the 500 and it bombs along at 90 happily enough, but I want it to look cool". Furry muff, there, but little sh!thead yuppies round my way who are all of 12 years old, hooning around madly in a gutless hump-a-dump REALLY get on my baps. Get a real car, moron

I am also familiar with all of these niggles, I think it's a bloke thing, or at least a car-bloke thing.

How is the standing on boy racers? I have respect for a decent bit of work done to a car, but nackered 1 litre Fiestas with the full bodykit, or the legendary 1 litre Nova beefed up to the max, ooooooh they're so pointless. the stupid sound systems within are highly annoying too. If you're going to have a bit of ICE, get a decent car first, such as an Avus RS4, then fit your 3 subs under the boot floor...

Rock on

Its the over the top cosmetic mods that do my head in. Did you ever see Top Gear when you could send in a picture of the worse bodykit or modification you had ever seen on a car. There were some real eyesores in there. All time classic crap conversion is the one done on that bimmer on the hayezsquad website, its just plain fugly.
