Coolant Temp Sensor

My folks have a '98 A6 1.8T which they had problems starting last week. They eventually got it going (basically left it a few hours) and at the first opportunity I hooked up the VAG-COM which came up with a "Coolant Temperature Sensor - G62" problem.

Can anyone here tell me the location of this sensor please? [img]images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]

try this, select july 2003 and it tells you all you need to know....... I might even do her indoors' as it reads 0 most of the time !

I've passed a copy to my dad so he can replace the sensor.
We found sensor last night, but the article shows just how easy it is to replace. [img]images/graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]
