Paint Codes

Post by charlesdash » Mon Dec 08, 2003 8:53 pm

This may not be the right place to post this, but can one of you Missano red chaps please let me have the paint code for Missano red.

I am being told that the 1997 S6 I have is in Missano, and since the original RS4 catalogue Missano could be anything from post box red to blood red (and I seem to remember Audi telling us that Avus and Missano were unique RS4 colours) I just thought I should check with those that can read it straight from their service booklet!

Many thanks

Many thanks JR,
Now why, oh why, does my 1997 S6 have Missano red paint when I thought Missano was unique and introduced with RS4? Can anyone confirm that Missano was supposed to be a new RS4 colour?

I take it you've taken your car along to a bodyshop for them to search out the code and they couldn't find it?

If not, and it's not in the log book as JR said. It's often on a sticker in the spare wheel well.

I know my local Audi parts established my paint code from the chassis No. Which was surprising.
