4.2L V8 Twin Turbo, so is this the RS4 engine with turbos on?

Could of been an rs6 engine, but i couldn't figure out if it was an auto or a manual though.

It's an RS6 engine, absolutely NOTHING in common with a B7 RS4 engine

Had 2 of them attend the same Scuderia Hanseat as me last September at the Nurburgring & yes it's the old RS6 engine (along with many other parts from the Auid bin) & the car was designed by 2 Senior Aerodynamic engineers from Audi.

They are ubber quick & sound fantastic.

And one had an event with the armco, and as the owner put it was "sold to the insurance company".

Was that not the car that was at Castle Combe last Oct.

A silver RS4 was giving it a good work out if I remember.

This was the one at last year's ADI, and you were right Philip, IIRC it was Lucas in the RS4. The Gumpert wasnâ€™t running right, apparently.
