Audi's Le Mans winning diesel engine propels the current Q7 to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds. It's a V12. It's available in the R8 in 2009. 1000 Nm of torque.

I'd drive that diesel.

I'm not a beemer fan at all. But any car n black look ok for 30 seconds after you've spent 3 hours washing and polishing it....ater that they all look grubby.

Totally agree S4TAN! As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I just don't like the look of the whole BM range at the moment, especially the 5 series. In addition, their interiors are made of questionable materials and look very plain. Give me an old M6 anyday!

There's plenty of ways to attain M5 performance without actually having to buy one, therefore, the M5 is very much an aquired taste IMHO.

(Sorry S4woody! - just not my cup of tea)

Of course there is the horrific fuel consumption (like 16mpg) and trying to put the power down. Take it out on wet/damp day and see how it goes..?
