Hi John

Collected the CSL this afternoon actually...not all good news though

<snip>

Suffice say that I'm feeling just a little peeved having laid out £60k and it's not 110%

Good luck in getting them sorted.

Would a M3CSL be welcome at the next RS246 meet in Windsor?
I don't see why not. We had an M3 cab at the last meet. Come along and join in the fun.
Cheers,

Bad luck. Although generally I would expect problems, even with a £60K car. I just don't think car manufacturers/dealers (not just BMW) try hard enough these days. Of course I think BMW have suffered as a consequence of their popularity: In their attempt to produce the cars quickly, quality suffers.

When I went to my dealer to inspect my S4, they were amused that I had prepared my own 100+ point checklist. Just as well 'cos I found a few problems (well it was only a £40K car after all). After that they didn't think my checklist was so funny.

Dave, do you still have a copy of that checklist?

It would come in handy on 1 October

Thanks John,

Actually that was one of the first things I printed off over the weekend. Very useful indeed although I know Dippy is nothing if he isn't extremenly thorough and I would have liked to have seen his checklist too.

Ian,

I think I've lost it - I'm certain I had to 'rebuild' my PC after I got my car. I'll check some of my CD-R/Ws, but I doubt I saved it...
