Stage 1,2,3?
Can anyone explain how the different stages differ - is there a set level etc and what they tend to include?

Re: Stage 1,2,3?
Agreed for an RS4, but for an S4 it is as follows;
Stage 1 - chip only
Stage 2 - chip & cat back
Stage2+ - chip, turbo back
Stage 3 - upgrade to K04s

Re: Stage 1,2,3?
Which goes to show that the 'stage' concept differs between cars. When I first started tuning (a 2.0 Capri), stage 1 involved a new cam, ported manifolds and a gas-flowed head!
At least I did the work myself (nerve-racking stuff when you smear the cam with running-in grease, start the car and keep the revs over 3000 rpm for several minutes, even though you've only just put the darn thig back together) which is something I would never do on these modern engines!

Re: Stage 1,2,3?
So is it possible to tune an RS4 to stage 4,5,6?
Just wondering at what stage Andyroo's car is now...............probably Stage 7 come to think of it

Re: Stage 1,2,3?
What about the final stage>?
The hunger for more speed, pickup, handling, bhp, torque etc .............. maybe a new faster car remember once you`ve reached the peak out of the car & engine etc.....then a new car would be the option.
