LED display in rear window!!!

Oh dear, I came upon a 6 saloon the other day which had an LED display flashing messages in the rear window - why oh why would you do such a thing?!! I'd expect this from the lovely Corsa down the road from me with 6 exhausts !

Am I in the minority here?

could be fun, if it was an RS6 you could always display "running in - please pass" and after 1k miles "run in - now try it"

Came across a dark blue volvo 850 some years ago on the A1. He had a rear LED message for me 'POLICE SLOW DOWN' at which I did and away he went like the clappers...............arh those were the days

I'm waiting for some seriously pants mods on other S/RS models now the prices are becoming more affordable, I reckon now the older S3's have dropped closer to the £5k mark, they'll be a few down the golden arches with neon's and chrome rims soon

i remember a few years ago following a car that suddenly illuminated a sign in the rear window that said "stop" so like a nipple i did only to realise it was a third brake light.

Ahh... I always wanted one of these... only to use on certain occasions... such as to bait an M3 or an S4Woody pilotted M5 - or to tell a knob to stop riding my ar5e (that sounds good eh?).

Don't think it was me but I put one in a week or so ago ready for a car rally in April.

The reason i say "don't think it was me" is because I've hardly used it.

Thought it would be a laugh for the rally.

At the moment there are phrases like:

How close to my ar$e do you want to be

2 Fast $ You

Lights would be good

Hope you've got good breaks!

Ar$e Hole

Not really had the chance of using it as the car's been in Audi most of the time

Whether it stays on the car after the rally I'm not sure. With some good phrases i think you could have a good giggle.


I've heard a few people talk about Clarkson and an LED display.

Is this on the net somewhere?
