Air valves on tyres corrosion

Post by RSVI » Tue Jan 09, 2007 6:48 pm

Just went to petrol station to put a bit of air into the tyres.

Metal valves are showing signs of corrosion and I couldn't get the air attachment to seal against the valve on two wheels.

Anyway, sorted the problem by going to my tyre place.

Is this a common fault, has anyone had this and would they be covered under warranty?

TIA

Thanks for that Dave, I see a couple were done foc with Audi, I'll give that a go.

Did speak to them today and they were talking about it being chargable. I'll have to make a call tomorrow.

I do like the car owner forums, always in front of the makers ;)
