Any Lotus Exige owners out there?

I'm contemplating swapping the RS4 for one of the new Exige S (supercharged toyota engine) for something different and wondered if there's anyone with experience of owning them who'd like to share the good, bad and ugly.

I wouldn't be running it as a daily like I do the RS, more of a weekend fun toy, most likely take it to a few track days, but more often than not, for a whole heap of fun on A and B roads. Good idea or not so much?

I have run a heavily modded Elise for 4 years now - drop me a PM or get over to www.seloc.org for enough bedtime reading for a few years

Unless you are really set on an Exige then there are better performing Elise options out there for a lot less dosh than a factory £40K Exige S ...for £18-20K you could have a 300bhp Audi Engined Elise for instance

If you are set on the styling/factory warranty etc of an Exige S then keep an eye out for used Cup 240 or 240R cars - quicker, but as theyve been around a bit longer, some bargains to be had .... www.pistonheads.com classifieds is a good place to start.
