Some bits arrived today.

3" Down pipe
3" front pipe
3" centre resonator delete pipe

Will be connecting to standard back box and then weld in (not bought yet) valve "Y" piece for screamer pipe. Hopefully with the standard back box in will be ok and no drone but when valves are open look out lol

back still knackered so all I can do is look at it

I do agree with you ref the road noise, it is pretty loud, I am on Pirellis for now. have you tried Launch Control yet, bloody el it is quick off the line. my old B7 wouldn't stand a chance lol

Tried LC at 120 miles, pretty cool aint it lol.

Coming from all my fancy cars I love this thing (thought I would miss the bigger / perceived faster cars I have owned). Apart from the road noise I really cant fault it. Its the right size for our roads, handles magic and is pretty fast plus 35mpg is easy, wife can get over 40mpg that's awesome for this quick wee car. I have a box on mine now so around 350-360bhp the wee thing bloody flies cant wait to map it and fire on the exhaust for around 390-400bhp should be a blast.

What Pirellis do you have? any better re noise?? I am either going the latest Pirelli (got a very good write up) or wait until the MPS4 is released next year

i have the P-Zeros, there is still a fair bit of road noise to be fair. you hit the nail on the head with your thoughts above, it's spot on really for the UK Roads. wow must feel awesome around the 400 mark.

Ok so sounds like I will be trying the MPS4 when they come out and a bit of sound proofing. I was in the back of the car the other night and I would say 80% of noise is from the rear so not a difficult fix.

P1ssed off now.

Car sits up beside the wife's green house. Crazy winds last night managed to smash the glass and knock over the water butt and both hit my car. That's not going to T-cut out

Yeah deffo got the sill, all marks are right through the paint to undercoat. most annoying

so far,

3 inch de-cat milltek going to standard back box (not sure what rear box to fit yet)
19" Rota Grid wheels
Tuning box putting out around 380bhp??
H&R springs (still in the box though)

Fitting the wheels / tyres has made a huge difference to the road noise. Its a really good car now. Although the Conti sport 5's were really good the road noise was unbearable. Great wee car now. Tyres are Goodyear F1 Assy 2

coming together slowly

Nothing up with the S3, it was part of my 5 year plan to retire. These new pension rules have scuppered that plan

no pics yet still got the S3

Next car is a difficult one.

S7 Black edition. Huge discounts available, ticks every box so far
M5 4WD. not sure I want to spend that sort of money again and I probably would not buy one of the very first ones anyway.
Porsche Panamera Turbo (second-hand)
RS3 saloon, just maybe a bit small for my requirements

not sure yet.

Comfort
Speed
Turbo charged
4WD
Practicality
Looks
value for money (well, relevant to buying a car that is)

Well the Porker has to be the quickest, most desirable car out of the lot. Comes from a true sports car manufacturer, so will have driver involvement as a key requirement (just look at the Macan compared to its competitors for example). Granted, it's on the large screen de, but if you need space...

RS3... better sound than you've got now, most other things will feel more or less the same I would imagine.
