Post by mark0006 » Thu Jan 08, 2015 1:23 am

Starting to really like the new S3.

from the article:
Dan Prosser tests Audi's hot 296bhp S3 hatch on road and track. Can it really match the likes of the BMW M135i and VW Golf R for pure driving thrills?

I though the video was really poor for an EVO video

3dr vs Sportback. Maybe the longer wheelbase Sportback has a slightly stiffer rear suspension set up, hence its more mobile at the rear?

I said it at the time, but I drove one back-to-back with the B8 RS4, and it was the S3 that surprised me the most. Perhaps it's because I knew what to expect from the RS4? Whereas I was bowled over by the 8V having never really been a fan of the 8P (been in one but not driven one)

For the money it's a great car. Quick, cheap to run, fun and more modern than a B8.
2014: 8V S3, Scirocco (mistake)
2013: B8 RS 5, 3.0T S5 coupe, B8 S5 cab - temp, B8 S4 avant
