New FFRR Arrived

Well looks like this will be my home for the foreseeable future unless i can convince Phil to add a FFRR sub section :bigblink:

Taking me a while to get used to the size of this car, but i realise this is more a headspace issue rather than it's physical size. Having had several A8's etc. i realise the actual footprint of the RR isn't much greater, it just appears so when looking at it from the outside or the vast internal space when inside.

Other than this, i'm loving the epic ride quality & the luxury feel of the interior. Leather is everywhere & is the softest covering i've ever felt which makes driving the car an absolute pleasure. Also enjoying the amazing Technology & endless toys (took a good few days to set everything up though).

Still early days but am very happy with my choice & she'll be off to DMS for an uplift in the next few weeks, although being honest the performance is sufficient as is. A huge bonus that on a long run last week she averaged mid 30's MPG which given her size was a bit of a surprise.

What is FF?
I've no idea how fast / slow these things are but it must feel slow compared to your remapped M5.

FF = Full Fat, so the big Range Rover rather than the variety of other Range Rovers now on sale.

It's clearly not as quick as the M5 (that went to an RS246 Forum member yesterday), but i wanted something very different for the next year or 2 & had always fancied a FFRR at some point in my car history since being a child. Although not quick, it's no slouch even with just 260bhp as it's got 450lbs.ft which provides a decent enough punch & DMS will be increasing that to 328bhp & 566lbs.ft in a couple of weeks which should be a bit of a giggle.

Thanks. He was addressing an issue with some sealant/wax that was missed during the PDi Valet.

Aha!

And I know what you mean... I've always thought about buying a Range Rover since being a kid too.

Who bought the M5 then?

Glad to see you've seen the light and moved to the piss and slippers brigade

Only 260bhp?

Isn't the entry 3.0 300PS?

Piss, slippers, tartan, pipe and flat cap in a FFRR. And live in Cheshire or Essex.

Plus Blonde wig, lip gloss, sunglasses on your head, Gucci handbag while dropping the kids off to school. :jump:

On the RRS they have the SDV6 which is 300bhp but it's a very old lump, so on the FFRR the only Diesel V6 is the TDV6 which by all accounts is better suited to the car. Don't forget the FFRR with the TDV6 is only 2 slightly overweight adults heavier than the C7 RS6, so the torque suits it well. Cruising at 90mph the car's only ticking over at 2000rpm.

I'll let the new owner of my M5 introduce themselves.

Not only piss & slippers, I've hassled the local farmers & got some spent shotgun cartridges to scatter around the rear foot wells :bash:

The new owner is I :)

Paul, your new car looks great. I previously had a C6 MRC'd Loon. This is far faster on a dry day. Its a Lovely car and Paul has maintained it very well. Hopefully will keep me entertained for a while until the next one.

Cheers
