Well I did have a C6 ‘loon. I loved both of them. The RS7 has a mahoosive boot as well but the 6 does look far more aggressive.
Nice to have such choices I guess....

I love saloons. My point was that it is not a saloon it's a sportback.

Thoughts on the residuals FL/Pre FL and also RS7 to 6?
Audi found me a brand new S5 with every option fitted but at a crazy price-£58,745. Even with a £4500 dealer contribution. I could get a lower specc’d nearly new RS5 or similar for that. The S5s/S4s seem to be depreciating quite badly it seems. I was really impressed with the S5, didn’t seem much slower than the B8 RS5 I tested as well.

Definitely! It is a lively car though.
The only reason I moved away from my RS6 was it was costing me too much every month. Now that prices have come down a bit I can get back into one (or a 7). My foray into AMG has not been a happy one unfortunately.
Price range is £40-50k ideally

Always a buyers market....as I’m finding out with my A45. Prices have taken a dive recently and no-one knows why (the new A Class is now out but the new A45 won’t be out until next year) but they have slipped a bit. Glad I didn’t buy mine new (they aren’t worth the asking price new trust me) but selling it is proving more problematic than normal. I absolutely detest selling cars privately.

Book for mine is currently just under £27k. I paid £37k last October fully loaded. Most a dealer has offered me is £30k but that’s because they know me.

The irony of the whole mess isn’t lost on me that’s for sure!
As a bonus I’ve been saving over £400 a month since I moved on from the 6, however that’s got me into a car I now actively hate and RS6’s have now come down in price since last year (the £70k car I bought has now effectively become a £58-60k car) so yes it’s probably been a false economy and a mahoosive pain in the arse!!

My mate test drove a 7 and a 6 back to back and says the 7 is a lot noisier inside...fwiw.

A lot of that is down to tyres and wheels. Change of tyres from Conti to Dunlop and the car is a lot quieter now.

There are a couple of facelift RS7’s around early 40’s but high milers.

There are only around 400 RS7’s compared to 1000+ C7 RS6’s and yes they didn’t sell as well and yes their residuals aren’t as great but used they can be had with better spec for less.

For me when I bought mine I got it for £20k less than the equivalent spec RS6, largely because some standard spec on the ‘7 is optional on the ‘6 and not as popular. But then I didn’t need the boot space of the ‘6 and I quite like the shape of the FL, pre FL is a little odd.

Haggling is a given, got £7k off the price of mine from Audi dealer network
