Got a bit 'duffed up ' by a black mean moody RS7 this morning on the A507. Anyone on here?
Normally it would have been a different story of course, Here's my defence?
1) It was very foggy
2) It was busy with commuters
3) I don't know the road and camera situation that well.
4) It's a bit 'kin early in the day for that sort of thing!
All of which probably sounds like a load of excuses but rest assured in different circumstances it would of been red faces all round in the 7 !
:bigblink:  :D

Oh dear, sounds like he's 'hanging out of the back of you'. There's always next time.

I had one trying it on with me yesterday he only got past when I hit traffic and he went past on the inside lane.

Even taking the excuses (genuine) into account, why wouldn't the expected outcome be as happened?

Both cars performance is not only matched, but identical, so a touch more commitment, balls or even skill/knowledge by the RS7 driver would hand them the win.

This thread was from April, but what car was Pete driving? I'm assuming a C7 RS6? If so, the 7 is lighter, has better aerodynamics and skinnier tyres, I'd expect it to be faster than a 6 regardless of Audis claimed identical figures to 62.

Edit, my response was based on Pauls comments which made it sound like Pete has a C7. I'm guessing Pete has a tuned C5 though as that is his most frequented forum.

DOH, I hadn't even spotted it was an old most. Must have wandered into the RS7 forum by accident & saw the post near the top :bash:

Just seen this, was actually a supercharged rs4 I was driving and it wasn’t a ‘couldn’t keep up ‘ more of a ‘didn’t see it coming’ as I was in bimbling to a job mode and wasn’t sure where I neede to turn off. A full list of my excuses for being done over can be seen in the original post!
Different circumstances I think I would be in the running.
