Thanks lads,

drove 100 miles today (on a course) and liking it more and more. Discovered its not under powered top end it just lacks torque lower down. When it hits 5k the thing pulls really hard easily 450bhp I would say (knowing audi prob a bit more). only done 268miles so guess its still tight as a tight thing lol

24mpg on the way to the course. Slow 50-60mph crazy traffic
18mpg on the way home and for how I was driving I am happy enough with that.

First hardware mod.

Looks good. Could do with the silicone hoses being 10-15mm longer just to make it sit better. Will order some up.

Won't that suck a lot of hot air in from the engine bay? What did the stock system look like?

Love the fact you're already modding it though.

That hot air debate has been going on for years. Maybe the case on a rolling road but actually on the road there will be more than enough cold air getting pushed in there. Stock system was just a big black box. Some guys fit carbon air boxes but stupid money for something you never see.

Sounds good around town but not intrusive. Car is so well insulated I guess.

Looking good Paul. Easy fit eh? Didn't know the S7 was twin turbo! Is the S6 not a single turbo?

Car looks great. I like the sevens a lot. You don't see many S6 or S7 which I think adds a certain appeal too.

The intake mod not to my taste though.

S6 and S7 is the same engine which is essentially a detuned RS (different turbos I think).

Yeah easy fit.

More or less same engine as RS6. Few minor differences, cams, some bearings, compression ratio and smaller turbos.

Yes I get the induction kit is not for everyone but this thing is way to quiet need some sound.

yes they are giving huge discounts.

only found that pic as an expmple. Not found the wheels I want yet but they will be that style
Hi Paul

Can I ask what discount you got as I am thinking of coming out of an RS6 into the S7 BE. Been quoted 22% which I don't think can be beaten

Thanks

Ian

Can't remember the exact figure.

Broadspeed are quoting nearly £18k off. Aberdeen audi also guarantee your trade-in price from time of order, no other dealer would do that when I was looking.

Did a quick log of the S7 tonight. Air flow would suggest 469bhp. not bad for 800miles. Looking at the logs it only runs a max of 0.7bar of boost HUGE room for a boost tweak, not much wonder they have great results when tuned.

Charge cooler works pretty well on stock boost wonder what its like once mapped

Launch control is pretty mental

Once thing I am very disappoint in is the MMI etc. I did not go for the "high" option as a result my MMI screen is tiny, I have no option for touch when inputting nav addresses etc and no Google maps. Did not think I would miss Google maps but boy I really do. Will look at fitting a larger MMI screen but probably wont do much more than that. My fault for not paying attention I suppose but I thought buying top of the range S7 the MMI would have been premium. Clearly not!!
