Hadn't spotted this thread & nice write up.

Not driven the S7 yet, but had a new S6 for a few days & covered close to 1000 miles in it. Wrote a review in the S6 section.

Having not owned a C6 RS6, i can't compare with that but i agree the RS should feel the more sporty, however i did have a B7 RS4 for a couple of years & although the S6 wasn't at that level it wasn't all that far off & like you say the new S's feel very modern inside compared to the model before.

Had a different experience on economy though as i averaged 31 over the weekend & did have more than a couple of hoons. On the motorway i was getting mid 30's at 75mph & it only dropped a tad when travelling over 80.

The new S6 or even S7 are very likely to be my next car come change time in 10mths. I think they represent the best of both worlds & for me given most of my driving is longer distance motorway hacks, i want something that provides sensibility most of the time without raping my wallet, however a good giggle when i fancy a play & these new S's seem to offer that.
