My car is back at Audi following an air-con service, as the air
Con no longer works. Any ideas on what they have messed up, before they try and fob me off.
Air conditioning not working after service
Re: Air conditioning not working after service
Anyone know if the air con service could then cause the compressor to fail?
Re: Air conditioning not working after service
I think it unlikely that the compressor will have failed as a result of an aircon service. More likely the system is just under-pressurised. Obviously, it shouldn't be under-pressurised after an AC service but it is likely to just be an easy fix. I doubt anything is damaged.
Silly point, but have you checked that they didn't just leave AC switched off? I find that, after a service (admittedly not an AC one) the garage always leave my system on manual and the fans turned to "0". (They also turn the lights to manual, unplug my dash cam and mess with my seat settings. Ho-hum).

Re: Air conditioning not working after service
I have checked it is not turned off.
I have read that a lack of refrigerant or debris in the system can cause it to fail. It failed immediately after I picked it up and the dealership is generally poor all round.
