DRC refill

Post by Tadass910 » Fri Oct 14, 2022 5:13 pm

Hello, anyone did it? Any ideas how much it can cost if it’s only front? And if all needed? Thanks

Since the DRC circuits are diagonal across the car I fail to see how you think "it's only the front"!! :drink: :drink: :bigwave:

It’s about £200-250 at Audi to replace fluid and pressurise

Had mine done under warranty. As mentioned it’s a diagonally linked system with 2 valve assemblies at the rear and these can get damaged when pressure is lost.

I had knocking from the front right and rear left. Dealer refilled and pressurised (over 20+ bar) and has been OK since, so I may have been lucky and not damaged anything.

Not sure is it drc or something else, and this noise I get when I turn to the left hard when one wheel especially more higher than other, same sometimes happens when I turn to the right also when car not in horizontal position and one wheel higher than others

Thanks for mentioning that, I definitely going to Audi dealer, that I have that noise and point them about that it could be drc refill time or these arb links. Or should I not mention them anything just tell that I have that knock sound, I can show on a video

P.S you mean those arb links in a picture I posted?

Or it’s this item https://m.autodoc.co.uk/ridex/8101055

Yes those are correct. As you have DRC part no is 4H0411317C. I try to use a decent brand such as Lemforder, Febi, Meyle

Same for me… I had mine done under warranty. It was only 2 bar under but had a noticeable knock on my rear left. Back up to 20+ bar and it went. Had the same issue with my RS4 B7. Tech at Audi said the knock is perfectly normal on DRC. Although my OCD on noises can’t cope with it!

So tech Audi said knock is perfectly normal? But you shouldn’t hear any knock if everything ok

Agree 100%... the suspension shouldn't knock at all if everything is sound.. I've just found that out when I had a strut replaced the whole system drained and refilled..not a sound from it.
