Looking for some information on the two high pressure fuel pumps mounted up near the top of the engine on a RS6 C7 G4.

Specifically mine is 2013 but I believe the info would help others with the same generation.

I have seen a few places a recommendation to replace these parts after around 75k miles but cannot find replacement parts online. Any info you have would be really helpful please.

Does anyone know the OEM part number and where sells them?
Alternatively does anyone have the Bosch part number and where sold?
Are there any after market options?
I have located replacement pistons, would a service of the pump and replacement of this part be as good as a full unit replacement?
Is the job difficult to complete?

Do you actually have an issue with the pumps? If not, I would leave well alone, there are cars around now with over 100k and still going strong on the original pumps

I don’t have an issue with the pumps but had seen recommendations to replace after around 75k.

As mine has now done just over 100k I wondered if it was time to replace to preemptively catch a potential issue.

I’ve been able to locate the part number using the below resource.

The part number is 079 127 025 AJ

Oh if it helps these are £299.65 + VAT each direct from Audi with 48 hour lead time from Milton Keynes factory
