C7 RS6 - Weekend hoon?

Post by PSB1 » Tue May 24, 2022 5:20 pm

How well does the RS6 fit the hoon bill for you?

As an only car, is it 'fun' enough for weekend morning blasts, when you grab the keys for no prticualr reason?

I make any excuse to drive mine so I think that counts.

I take it that you have never been in an RS6? Nothing comes even comes close to the feeling of an empty road an a 6!

So my last performance car was an E46 M3 and if I had the choice I would take the M3 every time. However as a one car garage it certainly doesn't disappoint. And for a big old bugger it can half move. and any losses it would have had in the bends it makes up for on the bits between. I'm by no stretch saying the M3 was as quick. It wasn't even close, but for pure engagement and drama it had the 6. But on the other hand the 6' engine is pure shock and awe! And for the transitions between the perfect bits its effortlessly comfortable!

It's very tempting, very tempting indeed. Looking at the perf at Rockhurst with dynamic+.

Decisions, decisions.....

As an only car it’s OK. But it’s heavy and wide, not ideal for B road blast. You’d have more fun in something smaller and less powerful.

Disagree man.

My older brother has a GT4 and we regularly hoon it on B roads.

The cars couldn’t be more different, but what the rs6 lacks in the bends in more than makes up as soon as the road straightens up
